Checkpoint in Marinka resumed work after being closed because of clash with militants' sabotage and reconnaissance group

The checkpoint in Marinka town resumed work today, Feb. 14. It will, however, be closed again if the hostilities continue.

Censor.NET reports citing the ATO (anti-terrorist operation) press officer Andrii Zadubinnyi on 112 Channel.

The decision to close the checkpoint was made after the yesterdays' clash with sabotage and reconnaissance group of the militants, which was reported on Feb. 13., at 9:30 a.m.

"A sabotage and reconnaissance group of the militants approached. They attacked two of our strongholds at Marinka town. Ukrainian border guards fired back. They were forced to suspend work of the checkpoint in Marinka," Zadubinnyi said.
