"We insist and have submitted a government bill on the introduction of a defined-contribution system to the Verkhovna Rada. The IMF considers this measure to be normal. But apart from that, they propose to deal with the pay-as-you-go pension system and also reform it partially. There is actually only one solution proposed - raising the retirement age. I believe, and this opinion is shared by the president and PM, that there is no possibility to bring up an issue of raising the retirement age today," he said.

In addition, the minister noted that it was impossible to raise the retirement age without an increase in life expectancy and well-being.
