 Poroshenko signed decree on patronage assistance to servicemen

President Petro Poroshenko has signed decree on patronage assistance to military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, and the State Border Service of Ukraine.

"Each region or city where our glorious units are stationed must be proud of this. The 25th Brigade is the glory of Dnipropetrovsk, the 95th Brigade is the glory of Zhytomyr, the 79th Brigade is the glory of Mykolaiv, the 80th Brigade is the glory of Lviv, the 3d Separate Spetsnaz Regiment is the glory of Kyrovohrad, and so on. It is the best form of patriotic education of the youth. I will be proud to see our young people wear the symbols of brigades and dream of becoming part of them and seeing the way our warriors live and improve their combat capacity," Petro Poroshenko said.

The document approves the list of formations and military units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard of Ukraine, the State Border Service of Ukraine, which will fall under patronage assistance by local state administrations and governments.

In the framework of the patronage assistance, regional state administrations will assist in providing units with food, fuel and lubricants, material and technical means, solving everyday problems, satisfying cultural and spiritual needs of servicemen, ensuring military-patriotic education of the young people and their preparation for the performance of military duty.
