Main Military Prosecutor Anatolii Matios said on the air of Shuster LIVE, Censor.NET reports citing the military prosecutor's personal website.
"There is no reason for initiation or registration of any proceedings against the military. I want to stress that the living conditions, which they have been brought into, are the consequence of non-fulfillment of statutory and regulatory documents, as well as all instructions issued by the command," Matios said.
He informed that the investigation conducted by the military prosecutor's office of the Southern region was fast-paced. About 70 people, including generalship, have been already questioned.
"We are inclined to think that the Military Prosecutor's Office of the Southern region will request the court to authorize arrests of the guilty officials on Monday. This concerns the company commander, deputy battalion commander, persons in charge of the rear, including deputy head of the Eastern Operational Command, which is responsible for the rear," Matios said adding that the servicemen were provided the minimum living conditions only after the intervention of the military prosecutor's office.
"They brought hot meals, but forgot to bring the boards. Walking knee-deep in mud is an abasement of human dignity, especially when the state allocates such funds," the military prosecutor said.
