 "No ties will grant indulgence or protection to corrupt officials," - Poroshenko

No one will escape punishment for corrupt deeds, should their involvement be proved.

Petro Poroshenko stressed during a meeting at the National Anti-Corruption Bureau, Censor.NET reports referring to presidential press service.

The president emphasized the importance of NABU's independence from other institutions, which guarantees its efficiency, promptness, and secrecy. "Nobody is safe from getting within bureau's attention, and no ties will grant indulgence or protection to corrupt officials," Petro Poroshenko said.

According to the head of state, the NABU is manned with analysts, detectives, and special force fighters. They are granted all necessary functions to demonstrate the efficiency of Ukrainian fight against corruption to the whole world. "During their first days and weeks of work, they have already proven there were no closed spheres or untouchables for the NABU," he said.

The president wished the newly appointed staff of NABU's special operations department and the bureau's detectives success in fighting corruption, which he said was the greatest evil hampering the state's progress.
