Firsov predicts further MPs’ withdrawal from Poroshenko Bloc faction

Poroshenko Bloc faction members will keep leaving it as long as Ihor Kononenko and other controversial persons remain there.

This was stated by MP Yehor Firsov, Censor.NET reports citing 112 Ukraine TV channel.

"You know, as long as Kononenko is in the faction and it is run by the persons, whom I have named, the faction will actually be falling in pieces," Firsov said.

"You can see the trend for yourself. Viktor Chumak, quite reputable and well-known person has recently withdrawn from the faction. I have withdrawn. I think that we should expect further withdrawals from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc faction since there are decent and committed people there, who fight against corruption, who have come to the parliament to implement policy and reforms, but not make money embezzling public funds and creating corrupt practices," the deputy said.

Earlier, MP Yehor Firsov announced his withdrawal from the Poroshenko Bloc parliamentary faction today due to voting on ban on Ihor Kononenko's sitting in the parliament.

It should be reminded that Aivaras Abromavicius announced his resignation Feb. 3 due obstacles to his work as a minister, as well as the desire of some officials to control cash flows in Naftohaz and defense industry. According to him, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade has become so desirable after Naftohaz was placed under its administration, which was previously within the Energy Ministry.
