As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by the ATO press center in a report as of 6 a.m. Feb. 8, posted on Facebook.
According to the HQ, the hottest spots were a Donetsk suburb and temporarily-occupied Horlivka area.
"Militants shelled our defenses in Pisky and Opytne from grenade launchers and small arms. Terrorists opened fire upon Ukrainian strong points near Marinka 16 times. Here, the enemy was also using mortars of 82-mm and 120-mm," the message reads.
It is also reported that the ATO forces' positions in Troitske, Maiorsk, and Krasnohorivka were shelled with mortars.
"Ukrainian strong points in Zaitseve, Novhorodske, Myronivske, and Starohnativka were fired at from large-caliber machine guns and small arms. In some cases our military were forced to fire back," the HQ noted.
