Censor.NET reports citing the press office of the president.
Head of the Security Service of Ukraine Vasyl Hrytsak reported that fragments of 23 firearms used against Maidan had been found. The weapons were damaged, the ID numbers were filed off. Following the expert evaluation, the Security Service identified 12 out of 23 weapons.
"With a high degree of probability we can say that these are fragments of 22 Kalashnikov rifles, one Kalashnikov machine gun and one 12 gauge smooth bore barrel," Vasyl Hrytsak informed. Respective data was submitted to the Prosecutor General's Office and the Interior Ministry.
The president emphasized that all those guilty of the execution of Maidan activists must be brought to justice, inter alia, those, who gave the criminal orders. This information "increases the evidence base substantially and helps bring to justice not only those who killed Ukrainian Heroes, but also those who ordered the murder and provided the weaponry".
The president will demand the parliament to make amendments to the law on trial in absentia at the coming parliamentary session.
