 Abromavicius should stay, NABU to check up his allegations, - Poroshenko

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko promises to do his best to boost the reforms implemented by Minister of Economic Development and Trade Aivaras Abromavicius.

Poroshenko wrote on Facebook, Censor.NET informs.

"I had a meeting with Aivaras Abromavicius and had a conversation with him. It was me who invited him to join the team, granted Ukrainian citizenship, and appealed to the Solidarity (Petro Poroshenko Bloc) faction to nominate him for the post of the Economy Minister."

According to Poroshenko, Abromavicius confirmed that he enjoyed full president's support of his reform initiatives during his work in the government.

"I guarantee such support in the future. I think that Aivaras should remain minister and continue implementing reforms. He still has time to think it over," Poroshenko wrote.

"As an independent body, the National Anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) must investigate everything that has been voiced by Aivaras Abromavicius today. Ihor Kononenko appealed to NABU, declaring his readiness to cooperate with the agency. The authorities of the mentioned agency informed me about it," the head of state summed up.
