 Five soldiers tripped bomb in Donetsk region, one of them died, - National Police

On Tuesday, Feb. 2, five soldiers encountered a tripwire. One of them died and four others were taken to a military hospital in Svatove (the Luhansk region).

As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced today by National Police Main Department in the Luhansk region press officer Tetiana Pohukai.

"The Svatove police department received a forensic report about an ATO soldier's corpse delivered in the city morgue with crushed soft tissues and bones of both legs as well as shrapnel abdomen and head wounds. The said injuries were received on Feb. 2 at around 3 p.m. while on patrol in the vicinity of Spirne village (the Donetsk region) as a result of tripping a bomb. Four other soldiers were also wounded in the incident and taken to a military hospital in Svatove," she said.

According to Pohukai, the incident is qualified under article 258 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine as a "terrorist act."
