 Militants focus attacks near Horlivka and on Donetsk outskirts, - ATO press center

The situation in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area remained tense today, Feb. 1.

Censor.NET informs citing the situation report by the ATO press center.

The latest report reads: "The gangs of the Russian mercenaries mainly fired at our positions in the vicinity of Horlivka and on the outskirts of Donetsk.

"The enemy shelled our soldiers deployed in Avdiivka and Butivka mine with grenade launchers of various types. The militants fired at the Ukrainian Armed Forces' strongholds in Opytne village with high-caliber machine guns and anti-aircraft guns.

"It was also not calm near Pisky as the enemy attacked our soldiers with small arms there.

"Pro-Russian militants employed grenade launchers and high-caliber machine guns against our fortified positions in Troitske, Zaitseve, Novhorodske, and Maiorsk near temporarily occupied Horlivka.

"Russian terrorists violated the cease-fire 21 times totally since the beginning of the day."
