Slovakia deems Nord Stream II politically motivated project against Ukraine, - Foreign Minister Lajčák

Slovakia says the Nord Stream II project of gas pipeline from Russia to Germany is politically committed and stacked against Ukraine.

This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Slovakia Miroslav Lajčák after the meeting with the Prime Minister of Ukraine Arsenii Yatseniuk, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.

"The Nord Stream II is a politically motivated project. I see no other reason for it," he said. "The court's decision regarding its compliance with the third energy package and the EU energy legislation will be critical," the Foreign Minister said.
