 53 attacks on Ukrainian troops positions registered over past day, - ATO press center

Pro-Russian gangs continue to foment the conflict in the Donbas. Over the past day, 53 attacks on ATO forces positions have been recorded, including with weapons banned by the Minsk agreements.

As reported by Censor.NET, it is stated in the ATO press center report as at 6 a.m., Feb. 1.

"Terrorists used small arms and 82- and 120-mm mortars to hit our strongholds in the area of Krasnohorivka and Zaitseve. In the vicinity of Maiorsk, militants fired mortars and heavy machine guns," the report reads.

According to the staff, Ukrainian army positions in Novhorodske came under IFV and grenade launcher fire.

As also noted, the situation remains tense near temporarily occupied Donetsk: "Using various types of grenade launchers and small arms, militants hit our strongholds in Avdiivka, Pisky, Opytne, Marinka, and Butivka mine."
