Ukrainian army sustained more than 1,000 non-combat casualties in ATO, - Military Prosecutor Matios

The most common reasons of death include: shooting by comrades-in-arms, careless handling of weapons, etc.

Chief Military Prosecutor of Ukraine Anatolii Matios said in an interview with Myr, Censor.NET reports.

"I will tell you the number of non-combat irrevocable and sanitary losses of the Ukrainian army. Three regiments. More than 1,000 people died in ATO out of combat. Shooting by comrades-in-arms, careless handling of weapons, fatal injuries, traffic accidents, supposedly heart diseases. Who sits in medical examining boards? The president? No! A doctor at a district dispensary, who asked for 100-200 hryvnias to make a healthy person unfit, while an unfit guy without money to pay was sent to war... And he joined the ranks and turned to booze. There was a case when a drunken "hero" threw a grenade into a potbelly stove. Thirteen people were gone! How should they be documented? Who wants to listen to that kind of stuff? Is Poroshenko to blame? Shokin? Matios?" he said.
