"The section of the front between Pisky and Butovka mine was almost constantly attacked by the militants using high caliber machine guns, AGS-17 and SPG-9 grenade launchers yesterday. The terrorists also employed armored personnel carriers in the vicinity of Pisky village: two APCs (BTR-80) entered the suburbs and committed attacks using hull-mounted guns. A skirmish took place near Zenit position: the enemy infantry force employed AGS-17 grenade launchers and tried to commit attack from the direction of Spartak village," the MP wrote.
According to Dmytro Tymchuk, the terrorists' infantry force supported by 82-mm mortars entered the neutral zone northeast of Novoselivka village and opened fire at the frontline villages and the ATO forces' strongholds.
"The militants employed armored combat vehicles south of Troitske and east of Novhorodske villages. In the first case one APC (BTR-80) was attacking the advanced positions of the Ukrainian troops using hull-mounted weapons. In the second case, a group of two IFVs (BMP-2) and one APC (BTR-80) entered wooded area from the direction of Zalizna Balka village and one of the IFVs provided accurate fire from 30-mm automatic gun at the ATO forces' stronghold after that. The APC opened fire during withdrawal of the armored unit. The militants were also using AGS-17 automatic grenade launchers and 82-mm mortars in both cases.
"The attacks were also committed on the Ukrainian troops' positions in the vicinity of Krasnohorivka (ZU-23-2 anti-aircraft guns, machine guns, and SPG-9 grenade launchers were employed), Zaitseve (dense fire with small arms and grenade launchers was provided). The assaults with the use of small arms were recorded near Hranitne, Skeleve, Triokhizbenka, and south of Talakivka," Tymchuk added.
