 PM Yatseniuk refers report on official investigation into Minister Kurykin to NAB

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has been advised to dismiss Acting Minister of Ecology Serhii Kurykin in connection with attempt to embezzle "Kyoto funds”.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Arsenii Yatseniuk has made decision to dismiss Acting Minister of Ecology Serhii Kurykin according to the results of the official investigation. He stated this at a meeting of the Cabinet, Censor.NET reports citing 112 Ukraine TV channel.

"Subsequent to the investigation, I have put before the government my decision to relieve Serhii Kurykin from the post of Acting Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources. ... It is critical to prevent the common practice when dismissed officials pack up quietly and disappear without being held accountable. Here is the report on this official investigation. First of all, I request to declassify it, and secondly, I will immediately refer in to the NABU," the prime minister said.

Yatseniuk urged Director of the National Anti-corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NAB) Artem Sytnyk to personally supervise the criminal proceedings filed against officials of the Ecology Ministry regarding the "Kyoto case".
