As reported by Censor.NET referring to Ukrinform, this was announced by Ukroboronprom [defense industry state concern - ed.] CEO Roman Romanov.
"I think this year, as promised two years ago, you will hear first information about the ammunition plant which will provide our army and country with munitions," Romanov said.
According to him, preparatory work is underway as scheduled, and the only factor that may affect the project's implementation in financing.
"We have already informed the relevant public authorities on settling all issues within Ukroboronprom's responsibility. And we are ready to get down to the construction phase," Romanov stated.
When asked about the plant's location, Romanov said it would be "Central Ukraine."
"We have considered production sites and they are already defined. The same is with designers, equipment suppliers, so now it's all about financing," Ukroboronprom's CEO said.
He also stressed that some people who worked at the Luhansk Ammunition Plant moved to Ukraine's government-controlled territory, and they could be employed in the new production.
