 Ukrainian courts convicted six Russian servicemen, - Main Military Prosecutor

Deputy Prosecutor General of Ukraine - Main Military Prosecutor Anatolii Matios said that the Ukrainian courts had brought in the verdict of guilty for six Russian servicemen who took part in the hostilities in the Donbas.

He said in an interview to Channel 5, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.

"Six sentences have already been imposed against the Russian military including those who were detained..." Anatolii Matios informed.

In addition, 26 criminal cases filed against the Russian military have been referred to the court.

Anatolii Matios noted that such trials had priority. The cases are heard as quickly as possible in order the evidence of war waged by Russia against Ukraine will be considered by the international tribunals.

Earlier in September, the Dzerzhynsk City Court (the Donetsk region) sentenced Russian Armed Forces Major Vladimir Starkov to 14 years in prison for taking part in the war against Ukraine.
