Double water rate to be introduced in occupied Crimea: residents will pay for water even when not using it

Crimea's occupational authorities are calculating possibilities for introduction of double rate for water and sewerage.

As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by Novosti Kryma.

With the new rates, Crimeans will have to pay for both the water they use and the maintenance of the water supply systems.

"Whether you are using water or not, the enterprise bears the costs for electricity, technical equipment, and staff for maintaining required pressure," said Yurii Novosad, official of the so-called 'Crimean administration.'
