The Anti-Monopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) has fined Russia's gas monopolist Gazprom for UAH 85 billion (approx. $3,17 billion) for abusing its dominant position in natural gas transit via Ukraine's gas transportation system in 2009-2015.

AMCU Chairman Yurii Terentiev wrote in Facebook, Censor.NET reports.

"We've just considered the issue of Gazprom's abusing its dominant position in natural gas transit via Ukraine's gas transportation system as a monopoly buyer. The company has been fined UAH 85 billion," he said.
