 Ukraine’s Foreign Minister expects Russia’s Gryzlov to use direct contacts with Putin for Minsk agreements fulfillment

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin expects that the appointment of Boris Gryzlov Russia's representative in the Trilateral Contact Group to resolve situation in the Donbas will promote fulfillment of Minsk agreements.

He stated this in an interview with German news outlet Die Presse, Censor.NET reports citing UNIAN.

"Yes, he is a heavyweight in Russian politics and is in direct contact with the president (Vladimir Putin - Ed.). I expect that he will be exercising his capabilities and Minsk agreements will no longer be violated," the minister said.

It should be reminded that former speaker of the Russian State Duma Boris Gryzlov was appointed plenipotentiary representative of Russia in the Trilateral Contact Group to resolve the situation in the Donbas.
