 "No decisions to exchange Russian GRU operatives ever taken in Minsk," - MP Iryna Herashchenko

Representatives in the Trilateral Contact Group to resolve situation in the Donbas has never negotiated about commandos of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation (GRU) Yerofeyev and Aleksandrov captured in Ukraine.

Censor.NET reports citing the statement by Verkhovna Rada deputy from the Petro Poroshenko Bloc, representative of the humanitarian subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group in Minsk Iryna Herashchenko.

"The after-verdict future of the war criminals - the Russian GRU operatives, has never been discussed in Minsk," she wrote on Facebook. "No decisions to exchange Russian GRU commandos have ever been taken in Minsk (neither under "two for two" nor "one for two" format)," the lawmaker added.

"Moreover, the representatives of the Russian Federation turned their backs on their soldiers first claiming that they were members of "militia". Only when Yevhen Marchuk had shamed them publicly saying that it did not befit to generals to turn their backs on soldiers, they stopped doing such statements with their eyes bent on the ground," Iryna Herashchenko wrote.
