As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced in a report as of 6 a.m. Jan. 18 by the ATO press center on Facebook.
According to the HQ, militants continue to shell Ukrainian forces' positions using small arms, mortars and grenade launchers.
"They were the most intensive near Horlivka. The Kremlin mercenaries were conducting provocative fire against the ATO forces' strong points near Maiorsk, Zaitseve, and Novhorodske," the message reads.
It is noted that the militants got more active at Mariupol direction near Starohnativka. The Ukrainian army's positions were fired from an IFV.
"In total, the enemy shelled the Ukrainian troops' positions 48 times yesterday," the ATO press center added.
