 The US granted Ukraine equipment for military communications and treatment worth $23 million

The United States of America granted Ukraine medical equipment and military communications equipment worth $23 million.

Press service of the Embassy of the U.S. in Ukraine announced, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.

"Last night, the United States provided vital equipment for military communication and medical supplies worth $23 million in the International Boryspil Airport," the report reads.

In particular, the U.S. provided Ukraine with equipment for secure communications worth $21 million, which will allow Ukrainian military effectively sharing information without danger, as well as medical equipment to save lives on the battlefield worth some $2 million.

After customs clearance procedures, the equipment will be delivered to the Ukrainian army units that are involved in the exercises conducted by the U.S. side in Yavoriv (the Lviv region) and Khmelnytskyi city.

American instructors from the Joint Multinational Training Group (JMTG-U) will teach Ukrainian soldiers handling the equipment on the front line.

Since the beginning of the conflict in the Donbas, the U.S. granted Ukraine military with aid worth more than $260 millions. It included supply of body armor, vehicles, night vision devices and thermal imagers, medical equipment, heavy engineering equipment, portable radio stations, patrol boats, tents and a counter-battery radar.
