 Two Ukrainian sailors released from captivity in Libya, - Foreign Ministry

Two Ukrainian citizens, Sun Oil I crew members, held by an armed group in Libya, were released today.

Censor.NET reports referring to Ministry of Foreign Affairs press service.

"On Jan. 14, 2016, thanks to the efforts of Ukrainian diplomats, two Ukrainian citizens, Sun Oil I crew members, held by one of the armed groups in Tripoli since Jan. 2015, were released and left for their homeland. The Embassy of Ukraine in Libya also assisted in the liberation of other crew members of the said vessel - citizens of Bulgaria and Romania," the statement notes.

The Ukrainians are expected to arrive in Ukraine tomorrow, Jan. 15.
