"Terrorists continue intensive attacks on Ukrainian military positions mainly at the Donetsk and Artemivsk directions. Thus, our strongholds in the area of Pisky, Opytne, Avdiivka, Novhorodske, Zaitseve, and Luhanske got under enemy fire.
"Militants mostly used small arms, various types of grenade launchers, and heavy machine guns.
"Two cases of enemy sniper fire were registered near Marinka. Militants also used 82-mm mortars to hit the ATO forces' strongholds in the vicinity of Novhorodske.
"In addition, a clash took place near the village of Vodiane not far from Mariupol. An enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group opened fire on buildings of local residents, switching it against the Ukrainian army units positioned in the area. Our soldiers returned fire, forcing the attackers to retreat," the report reads.
