 Terrorists violated cease-fire 70 times before midnight, committed 10 more assaults after

Militants of the Russian-terrorist gangs have set a new record in 2016 late evening yesterday, having committed 70 attacks in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area.

Censor.NET informs citing the situation report by the ATO press center as of 6 a.m. Jan. 14.

According to the report, the thugs did not stop attacking the Ukrainian troops' positions near Donetsk and Horlivka with small arms, high-caliber machine guns and grenade launchers after 6 p.m. Jan. 13. The situation was the most difficult near the cities and villages of Pisky, Opytne, Avdiivka, Marinka, Novhorodske, Zaitseve, and Maiorsk.

It is noted that the ATO forces' strongholds in the vicinity of Opytne and Zaitseve have been shelled with 82-mm mortars. The enemy snipers committed attacks near Novhorodske and Maiorsk as well.

"The complete cease-fire, which was again agreed in Minsk yesterday, has been observed by the ATO forces unilaterally. In turn, the pro-Russian organized crime groups have employed weapons against our defenders at least 10 times from midnight Jan. 14. In particular, they attacked the Ukrainian soldiers deployed near Pisky and Verkhniotoretske with small arms, and employed automatic grenade launchers against positions near Opytne, under barrel grenade launchers near Novhorodske, high-caliber machine guns near Zaitseve," the report reads.

In addition, the headquarters noted that the situation remained calm at the Luhansk and Mariupol directions yesterday and this night.
