Poroshenko asks Yatseniuk to raise salaries within army

порошенко

President Poroshenko approached Prime Minister Arsenii Yatseniuk with a proposal to immediately consider raising salaries of military personnel.

Censor.NET reports citing Presidential Administration press service.

In his letter to the prime minister, the head of state offered raising salaries of the soldiers, considering the importance of the country's defense against the Russian aggression as well as conditions posing direct threat to servicemen's lives and health. This is also expedient for avoiding a disproportion between the amount of pay for servicemen and representatives of other defense and security authorities.

"The issue should be considered within limits of the relevant expenditures envisaged by the State Budget of Ukraine for 2016," the president said.
