 About 300 miners blocked traffic on highway between Lviv and Rava-Ruska

People are continuously crossing the road by pedestrian crossings blocking vehicles circulation.

Censor.NET reports citing the statement by the press service of the National Police of Ukraine.

"About 300 people are continuously crossing the road by pedestrian crossings at the 23rd km (Smerekiv village) and the 34th km (Volia Vysotska village) of the M-09 highway between Lviv and Rava-Ruska, blocking vehicles circulation. The traffic police officers are working at the scene. The law enforcers are urging the drivers to temporarily refrain from traveling in this direction," the report reads.

Earlier, the miners of the Stepova mine owned by Lvivvuhillia SE announced the intention to block the highway leading to the Rava-Ruska border crossing point Jan. 12 as part of the strike that had been launched back on Jan. 2. They are demanding redemption of wage arrears and job stability in the future.
