 Two soldiers killed over past 24 hours, - ATO speaker

Two servicemen were killed in the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area yesterday, on Jan. 9.

As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by Presidential Administration spokesman on ATO matters Oleksandr Motuzianyk at today's briefing.

"Two ATO soldiers were killed in the vicinity of Maiorsk town, no soldiers were injured yesterday. One of the killed was a soldier who received severe shrapnel wounds. The second was a police captain. He saved some civilians who became victims of the insidious tactics of the militants who shelled residential buildings. A female civilian was wounded as a civilian vehicle was fired. The police did everything possible to bring the car off the line of fire. The warrior lost his life saving innocent people who fell victims of militants' crimes," he said.
