 Bandits who attacked SBU officers detained in Kyiv

An armed group who has beaten SBU officers - anti-terrorist operation (ATO) participants has been detained in Kyiv.

An armed group which includes a citizen of the Russian Federation was arrested in Kyiv on Jan. 10.

The criminals attacked a group of employees of the Security Service of Ukraine, who previously participated in the anti-terrorist operation in the east of Ukraine, with baseball bats. The attackers caused injuries of varying severity to the officers in Hidropark (Kyiv) on Nov. 23, 2015. One of the victims is still in coma after an open craniocerebral injury and fracture of the skull base.

During the search of the residence of the detained persons, six F1 grenades, three TNT blocks with detonators, 500 rounds of 7.62 mm cartridges and two baseball bats were seized. The suspects actively resisted during the detention.

The preliminary investigation is checking the facts of possible robberies committed by the group on the territory of Hidropark. A petition to the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv to choose the measure of restraint for the suspects is being prepared.
