'LPR' and 'DPR' militants continue to prevent OSCE SMM from monitoring Donbas

'LPR' militants continue to prevent the SMM from monitoring many areas alongside the border in parts of the Luhansk region not controlled by the government.

This was announced in the Sadurday's OSCE SMM report, Censor.NET writes citing Interfax.

"The SMM is restrained in fulfilling its monitoring functions by restrictions imposed by the parties and security considerations, including mine threats, damaged infrastructure, and the unpredictability of the situation in Donbas. "LPR" members continue to prevent the SMM from monitoring many areas alongside the border in parts of Luhansk region not controlled by the government," the report reads.

It was reported earlier that on Jan. 7, some 'DPR' militants stopped an SMM patrol and forced the SMM representatives to the ground near the town of Horlivka. The SMM vehicle was searched for video material and SMM representatives were taken to a "military-type building". Upon arrival of a 'DPR' 'commander', who apologized for the situation, the representatives were released 35 minutes later.
