Militants shelled ATO forces' positions in Donetsk sector 18 times over past 24 hours

On Dec. 7, the Russian-terrorist forces fired at Ukrainian troops for 18 times, increasingly using weapons banned by the Minsk agreements.

In the afternoon, the illegal armed groups fired at the Ukrainian stronghold near Nevelske from tank weapons, infantry fighting vehicles, and heavy machine guns.

Another case of aimed fire was reported on the Horlivka-Svitlodarsk arc. The militants fired at ATO forces near the village of Luhanske from mounted man-portable recoilless guns and heavy machine guns.

The militants opened unsighted fire from 82 mm mortars near Zaitseve.

"In addition, the terrorists continue carrying out armed provocations near Pisky, Opytne, Avdiivka, Novhorodske, Maiorsk, and Luhanske. They mostly fire from small arms, but also from heavy machine guns and different grenade launchers from time to time," the report reads.

It has been quiet in the Luhansk and Mariupol sectors today.
