 Iranian, wanted by Interpol, detained at Boryspil airport - State Border Guard Service

During an identity check of passengers at the Boryspil airport in Kyiv, Ukrainian border guards detained a citizen of Iran who arrived from Tehran.

Interpol database helped to identify the suspect, Censor.NET reports citing the press center of the State Border Guard Service.

It turned out, that the German law enforcement authorities were looking for the Iranian in order to arrest and extradite him.

Iranian, suspected of fraud and violation of arms control legislation, is facing up to 15 years in prison.

Ukrainian bureau of Interpol was immediately informed about the incident. The man was handed over to the National Police department at the Boryspil airport.
