 Terrorists shelled outskirts of Pisky and Zaitseve villages with banned weapons yesterday evening, - B sector press officer

Six mortar shells impacted the outskirts of Pisky as a result of militants’ shelling.

B sector press officer Yevhen Romanov said on air of 112 Ukraine TV channel, Censor.NET reports.

"16 indiscriminate attacks were committed on the Ukrainian troops' positions at the Donetsk direction from 6 p.m. to midnight Dec .30. The outskirts of Pisky and Zaitseve were impacted with 82-mm mortars prohibited by Minsk agreements. One assault by the enemy sniper was recorded Dec .31 from midnight to the morning. It was committed on the outskirts of Novhorodske. The situation is currently stable," he said.

The press officer noted that the servicemen were informed on possibility of provocations on New Year's Eve so that they got prepared for such developments.

"And if there is escalation, the decision will be made promptly," he said.

It should be reminded that the militants violated cease-fire 31 times over the past day.

It should be also added that the complete cease-fire came into force in the Donbas from midnight of Dec. 23, as agreed at the talks in Minsk, but the militants continued violating armistice committing attacks on the ATO forces positions.
