 Two armed men stole $70,000 in Kyiv, caused massive car crash, - media. PHOTOS

Two men armed with machine guns stole $70,000 from a car near Protasiv Yar in Kyiv and disappeared. Interception operation is underway.

As reported by Censor.NET, this is announced on dtp.kiev.ua Facebook page.

"Two men who came in a Range Rover Supercharged (AA 4256), broke the glass in a car, seized $70,000 and drove towards the Solomianska Street," the post notes.

Police chased the malefactors in the direction of Universytet metro station and further along Povitroflotskyi Avenue.

A bit later, a patrol car was reported to have crashed.

"A large-scale accident took place in Kyiv on Vyborhska Street: armed robbers, escaping from pursuit in a Range Rover, rammed a police Toyota Prius, a Suzuki, and a Ford.

"Two police officers suffered. A female officer was taken to hospital, her condition assessed as grave. The criminals fled with a bag and weapons.

"Police, two ambulance crews, and rescuers have arrived at the scene," the message reads.
