 National Bank’s forex reserves increased by 77% to $13.3 billion in 2015, - Hontarieva

The gold and foreign currency reserves of the National Bank of Ukraine have increased by 77 percent since the beginning of the year, currently amounting to $13.3 billion.

Head of the National Bank of Ukraine Valeria Hontarieva announced during a press conference, Censor.NET reports citing Ukrainski Novyny.

"The international reserves have increased by 77 percent. They amount to $13.3 billion now," she said.

Hontarieva has reminded that the main stage of screening of the banking system has already been completed, and the regulatory authority has initiated its restart.

The head of the National Bank pointed out that the situation on the currency market had stabilized and a slowdown in inflation has been recorded.
