Poroshenko prefers picking quarrel, Russian Foreign minister Lavrov says

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko was able to insist on the fulfillment of the Minsk agreements but opted for making political hay out of it.

This opinion was expressed by Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergei Lavrov in an interview to the Russian propaganda TV channel Zvezda, Censor.NET reports.

"Poroshenko had every opportunity to steamroll the solutions that would implement this important document through radicals and extremists who tried to accuse him of parricide," the minister said.

According to him, the Ukrainian president started playing on the same field with the extremists instead, constantly accusing Russia of aggression and occupation.

"Even the words which were chosen evidenced that he wanted to pick a quarrel, and thereby, perhaps, gain some domestic political points. I do not know whether he was successful. The ratings indicate the opposite," Lavrov said.
