Ukraine transferred batch of seized heroin to Spain

Ukrainian law enforcers have transferred 72 kg of heroin seized in Illichivsk Seaport (the Odessa region) to their counterparts in Spain.

Censor.NET reports citing Prosecutor General's Office press service.

"A controlled delivery of the drugs from Pakistan was done following a decision by the Spanish court. The drugs were seized in one of Ukraine's seaports thanks to the coordinated operation of the Security Service of Ukraine and Spain's Civil Guard.

"Under the investigation into this case and other related cases on drug trafficking in the Kingdom of Spain, 35 people involved in the smuggling of drugs have been apprehended. The conviction of detainees was largely contingent on the submission to the Spanish court of physical evidence seized in the territory of Ukraine.
