"According to the latest update, 1,012,576 persons have resettled in other regions from the temporarily occupied territory and the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) area," the statement reads.
This number includes displaced residents from the Luhansk (247,423 people) and Donetsk (115,814 people) regions.
21,669 people have left Crimea.
990,898 people have drifted out of the ATO area.
The majority of internally displaced people settled in Kharkiv (208,715 people), Dnipropetrovsk (86,666 people) Zaporizhia (67,234) regions, and in Kyiv (39,047 people).
It is noted that the smallest number of displaced residents resettled in the Ternopil (2,714 people), Chernivtsi (2,757 people), Rivne (3,403), and Ivano-Frankivsk (4,052 people) regions.
It should be reminded that the State Emergency Service of Ukraine registered 1.01 million displaced persons from the ATO area and Crimea as of Dec. 21.
