 Deputy Commander of Chernihiv border guard unit detained for bribery as he demanded 'kickbacks' for food supply to Ukrainian military. PHOTOS

The SBU officers together with the National Police, Military Prosecutor's Office, and the State Border Service detained the deputy commander of the Chernihiv border guard unit for bribery.

Censor.NET reports citing the press service of the SBU.

According to the report, the colonel regularly received 'kickbacks' from employers for a permission to supply food for the needs of the military in the ATO zone.

Employees of the security services detained the border guard immediately after he was paid 6.5 thousands hryvnia as a bribe by one of the local entrepreneurs. Criminal proceedings has been opened (part 3 of the Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

Investigation in order to reveal another acts of bribery by the corrupt colonel is in progress.
