No violation of Minsk agreements by Ukrainian army in case with Pavlopil, - General Staff

The accusations against the Armed Forces of Ukraine concerning the alleged "occupation" of Pavlopil in the violation of the Minsk agreements are absolutely groundless.

Censor.NET reports citing General Staff press service.

"Kominternove and Pavlopil. Clarification of the status of settlements near the demarcation line. Package of measures for the implementation of the Minsk agreements of Feb. 12, 2015 does not contain a list of areas controlled by militants and Ukraine respectively. This list is stipulated by the decree of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine No. 252-VIII of March 17, 2015 and is set forth in its annex. The decree was supported by 296 MPs.

According to the above annex, Kominternove is regarded as part of certain districts of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions where a special order of local government is introduced.

"While Pavlopil is not regarded as part of certain districts of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, any allegations against the Ukrainian army of violating the Minsk agreements by the "occupation" of Pavlopil are totally groundless," the statement stresses.

According to the logic of the General Staff, militants had the right to take Kominternove. Censor.NET asked the representative of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Vladyslav Selezniov to confirm or refute this fact. Vladyslav Selezniov said we understood everything correct. According to the annex to the Verkhovna Rada decree of March 17, 2015, Kominternove is regarded as part of certain districts of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions where a special order of local government is introduced. "Everything is correct," General Staff spokesman said.
