According to Yatseniuk, the law of Ukraine on sanctions has been introduced in Rada, in Sept. 2014, the Cabinet approved a list of sectoral and individual sanctions against the Russian Federation, the National Security and Defense Council, in turn, has introduced by a presidential decree sectoral and individual sanctions against several hundreds of Russian companies and individuals. The Ukrainian government has filed several lawsuits with the European Court of Human Rights against the Russian Federation on the illegal annexation of Crimea. Several state-owned companies have already filed lawsuits against Russia for causing relevant damages. Ukraine's Naftohaz has filed two suits with the Stockholm court [on gas and transit contracts - ed.].
Yatseniuk also reminded that Ukraine had closed its aerospace to all Russian airlines. In addition, Ukraine has filed a lawsuit against Russia with the WTO.
"Ukraine also brings Russia to responsibility at the International Court of Justice for violating the convention on fighting terrorism. And this is only one tenth of what the government has done to protect Ukraine," the prime minister said.
At the same time, Radical Party leader Oleh Liashko was indignant by the fact that Russian banks, Russian oligarchs owning the Ukrainian power companies (Grigorishin, Babakov, Vekselberg, etc.) continued to operate in Ukraine.
"Why aren't these sanctions applied to Russian oligarchs? Because Russian oligarch Grigorishin is a partner of the current leaders. His man in the government is the current Minister of Energy Demchyshyn," Liashko said.
