 Terrorists used weapons 51 times yesterday, - ATO press center

51 cases of weapons use by pro-Russian terrorists in the east of Ukraine were recorded yesterday.

As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) press center on Facebook.

"Between 6 p.m. yesterday and midnight the invaders shelled our positions near Zaitseve with small arms three times, and near Lozove with grenade launchers and heavy machine guns. Unaimed fire from small arms was delivered by bandits against our defenders near Opytne, south of Avdiivka, and at the Donetsk airport vicinity. They were also firing at our defenders north of Horlivka - at Maiorsk, Novhorodske, Zaitseve, Lozove, etc.," the message reads.

It is informed that five cases of the cease-fire violation by illegal armed gangs were recorded on Thursday, Dec. 24.

"They used automatic grenade launchers to shell one of the ATO forces' units near Zaitseve, large-caliber machine guns near Troitske, and small arms were used to fire at our positions near Novhorodske and Maiorsk," the HQ informed.

According to the ATO press center, situation remains unchanged in the Luhansk region and at the Mariupol direction. It was relatively quiet there during the night.
