Ukraine appeals to OSCE with demand to record cease-fire violations by militants, - MP Iryna Herashchenko

Ukraine has officially appealed to the OSCE, in particular, to the representative of this organization in the Tripartite Contact Group (to settle the situation in the Donbas) in Minsk as well as to the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission requesting to record the gross violation of cease-fire by the militants today, just after they have made commitments to strictly observe the "truce" during holidays starting from midnight Dec. 23.

President's Commissioner on the peaceful settlement of the situation in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, Verkhovna Rada deputy from the Poroshenko Bloc faction Iryna Herashchenko wrote on Facebook, Censor.NET reports.

"They have made this commitment (to observe the cease-fire - Ed.) in Minsk Dec. 22 and this is what their word worth of. The violations of truce and cease-fire take place with the full knowledge and assistance of the Russians, who have also participated in the meeting of the working sub-group on security and the Tripartite Contact Group yesterday. This is the characterization of their words and commitments indicating what they are worth of. The same things - lies, irresponsibility, failure to keep their word, deviation of their own yesterday's commitments, are applied by them to other items of the Minsk agreements, in particular concerning the release of the hostages. And all this takes place with the comprehensive support of Russia," Herashchenko wrote.

According to the lawmaker, it is clear that the security situation, the violation of cease-fire by the militants, the lack of progress in liberation of the hostages should be the subject of the world's special attention.

"In this context, concerning verification of the militants' claims, we are going to carefully check the information submitted by them yesterday that they have allegedly established the fate of 63 people from the list of missing persons," Herashchenko summed up.
