 Poroshenko confident of lawmakers to amend Constitution in terms of judicial reform

President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko is confident that the Verkhovna Rada will approve further amendments to the Constitution concerning judicial power.

The head of state told reporters in Jerusalem, Censor.NET reports citing UNIAN.

"Another sector of reforms, which is extremely important for the country, got off the ground. I am confident that the next votes will be just as successful. We are very close to a constitutional majority, and it inspires serious optimism," the president commented on today's parliamentary vote to submit a bill to amend the Constitution in terms of judicial reform to the Constitutional Court.

It should be reminded that the Verkhovna Rada has submitted the presidential bill on amendments to the Constitution concerning judicial power (No.3524) to the Constitutional Court of Ukraine today, Dec. 22. The relevant decision was supported by 291 MPs out of 364 registered in the session hall.
