 Footage of Saakashvili and Russian businessman Mazepin might be fake, Interior Minister Avakov says

Video footage of a meeting between head of the Odesa regional state administration Mikheil Saakashvili and Russian entrepreneur, owner of Uralkhim concern Dmitriy Mazepin might be fake.

As reported by Censor.NET citing ZN.UA, this was announced by Interior Minister of Ukraine Arsen Avakov on air of Shuster.Live TV show.

He stressed that the video was not a police footage of the Ministry, so he could nor warrant for it. "I have read an opinion it was fake. I do not know, maybe it is. Those interested can look into it," Avakov said.

The minister also specified that he intended to pass this footage together with other documents related to Odesa sea port plant to Saakashvili at the National Reform Council's meeting. However, the scandal with the Odesa governor ruined his plans. "I wanted to say - here is some information, take it," Avakov said.

As reported, on Dec. 15 communications director of the Interior Ministry Artem Shevchenko posted a video showing alleged meeting of Saakashvili and Mazepin.
