Head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Vadym Skybytskyi said, Censor.NET reports citing 112 Ukraine TV channel.
"If we take the information of the Main Intelligence Directorate, we have recorded 7,500 servicemen of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation deployed in the territory of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions. Only members of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are meant," he said.
However, he clarified that this number has not significantly increased -- it remains constant, while relocation and strengthening, especially in the advanced echelon, has been increasing within the 1st and 2nd Army Corps of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
According to the Main Intelligence Directorate, the troops are constantly redeployed, and drills, including combat training of troops at ranges and gunnery drills, are constantly held.
Thus, the daily combat training and preparation of the detachments of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation to a possible renewal of hostilities in the territory of Ukraine is underway.
"There is no immediate threat today. But there are signs that the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, combat units of the 1st and 2nd Army Corps hold trainings, and such drills are scheduled. The situation [in the ATO area] remains difficult. The enemy continues attacking positions of the Ukrainian forces. According to the Main Intelligence Directorate, 57 attacks have been committed over the past 24 hours. In addition, the ammunition stockpile and fuel resources coming from the Russian Federation continue to be increased," he informed.
