State budget working group agreed on three provisions, - Hroisman

This week's key task of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine is to approve the state budget for 2016.

As reported by Censor.NET citing 112 TV channel, this was announced by Rada speaker Volodymyr Hroisman at a meeting of the parliamentary coordination council.

According to him, a working group on correcting the Tax code and drafting the state budget for 2016 based on it was created on Thursday, Dec. 17. It comprises the prime minister of Ukraine, representatives and head of the Finance Ministry of Ukraine, the leadership of the parliament, representatives of parliamentary factions and groups, as well as representatives of two committees - tax and budget.

According to Hroisman, the working group has been negotiating since its creation and has agreed on three provisions.

"First, we have supported the financial decentralization. This would mean that local budgets will have the same system as in 2015, and there will be no issues regarding kickbacks or destruction of the decentralization system in this budget," he wrote.

Another provision the group has agreed upon is the unified social tax. According to Hroisman, payroll tax will be decreased to 22 percent.

"This is a positive moment about reporting real salaries," the parliamentary speaker noted.

The third provision agreed on by the group is the system of simplified taxation for small and medium businesses to be remained in place, Hroisman said.

As reported, Ukraine's Prime Minister Yatseniuk forecast that the draft state budget 2016 and tax amendments would be ready by Dec. 24.
