As reported by Censor.NET, this was announced by the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) press center on Facebook.
The HQ informed that a military engagement between Ukrainian forces and a small mercenaries' group tool place near Troitske, the Luhansk region. It lasted for about an hour. The attackers received a fitting rebuff and were forced to retreat.
Near Stanytsia Luhanska, militants used Minks-banned 120-mm mortars for the second time over the past day.
"Invaders' use of 82-mm mortars was recorded near Zaitseve, at Horlivka suburbs, and near temporarily occupied Donetsk at the Ukrainian positions in Krasnohorivka area," the message reads.
They also inform that the enemy was using tank weapons to shell Ukrainian positions near Krasnohorivka.
"Mercenaries continue to regularly fire at Pisky, Opytne and Avdiivka using small arms, grenade launchers, and large-caliber machine guns.
"Maiorsk and Luhanske near Horlivka were covered by the aggressor's fire from AGLs at night. The ATO forces' positions near Novhorodske were fired at from small arms, large-caliber machine guns, and IFV weapons; a sniper was operating there as well," the HQ informed.
In total, pro-Russian separatists violated the cease-fire 57 times in the ATO area yesterday, according to the ATO press center.
"Earlier today, the enemy opened fire against our soldiers near Pisky five times, using grenade launchers and small arms," the HQ added.
